I think the igbo traditions for wedding ceremonies isn't so good because they should already have everything for the wedding set up. i think its wired how all his wives come to his wedding and getting married to a another women. how we set weddings up is way different den theres because are weddings are all ready set up. we either cook the food or go buy different food for people to eat or we just will order it and people wont bring food for them they will bring gift for the who ever is get married. our wedding the girls would put beds on they would put a nice dress on and the men would put a suit on. our wedding the men would have a ring for his wife and so would the women.

people define masculinity as being Okonkwo because he always anger. Beating on his wives and kids for no reason and doing thing to other people for just the fun of it. people in american are different from people in igbo well some people in american are like some people in igbo. Men in american are not always beating on there wife or beating on there kids some man love there wife and will never out there hands on there kids or there wife they might argue but no fight.

My first impression about the novel is that it is good, i like it a lot even tho i didn't read that much but it sound really good.I know that the igbo culture is far and i don't understand it all like that but i'm starting to read more about the book. Its wired how Okonkwo can have three wives and they not care that he sleeping with his other wife and they not fight over them. It is strange to me because he can beat on his wife for going to get her hair done and her not making him food when he got back from work and her not leaving him. He is a rude man because he beats his kids for no reason because he is anger with them and its the way he was treated when he was little kid.
